Thankyou, i got stuck on the same way. Went to sabn and restarted, switched back to radarr and hit test and it worked.

Lol, thats the problem. I am not able to cut and paste with a laptop. Totally a me issue. So i tried typing in the file and cannot get it to run in nano as i dont know how. So if i understand this correctly, after i mkdir and then nano, the editor is open with the /update-port.sh file in the heading...

SUCCESS!!!! after resetting credentials for openvpn i reentered and check vpn is good! i must have missed something or was reading a letter or number wrong. I rechecked that soo many times. thank you for the help.

yes sir,
enabled = y
proton vpn
the username and password generated in proton vpn by openvpn. i dont know how to cut and paste it from there so i entered it manually. checked and rechecked i didnt type it wrong. 0 not O and caps vs lowercase.
