I updated this to mount with smb instead of nfs and it looks like everything is working.

Following the installation guide, the only change to the defaults that I made was to set my media directory to an NFS that I have mounted on my server. Usenet is able to download fine into the media directory and I am also able to exec into the container running qBitorrent and write to the directory...
