[Solved] Cant connect to qBittorrent as a download manager all the sudden

I had qB connected and working totally fine before. Then all the sudden got errors saying qB couldnt be contacted. I have not changed anything as far as settings go from the time it was working to the now. qB was added as a download client so I removed it and tried to readd. upon readding and hitting test it says under where I put in the host "Unable to connect to qBittorrent".

I also have errors for "All search-capable indexers are temporarily unavailable due to recent indexer errors" and "All rss-capable indexers are temporarily unavailable due to recent indexer errors" under the system tab. not sure if this is relevant but all errors seemed to happen at the same time.

I can access the webUI for qB fine. Im using the correct ipaddress as used when connecting to the webUI, username and password is correct as well as im able to use them to access the webUI.

totally at a loss.
Appologies if this should go in the Sonarr board. Wasnt sure if its a qBittorrent issue or Sonarr issue.

Have you tried restarting YAMS?
Can you provide some logs?
Is your VPN working fine?
Are you able to download using qBittorrent outside of Sonarr? Try downloading a Linux distro
Can you send a screenshot of the issue in Sonarr?

There's nothing much to go on here. Please, provide as much information as possible

running yams check-vpn shows things are working as intended

Are you able to download using qBittorrent outside of Sonarr? Try downloading a Linux distro
yes downloading outside of Sonarr manually is working

Can you send a screenshot of the issue in Sonarr?


There was an error saying qBittorrent couldnt be reached under system -> status but that went away after I removed it as a download client.

Then it's an issue with Sonarr. Can you try changing your host from 192.168.1.64 to gluetun?

that seems to have fixed it!

I was able to add it as a download client after using gluetun as the host.

strange as I had used the ip address before and it added fine. I've been using sonarr going to qB just perfectly until out of nowhere probably a week ago it stopped communicating.

I'm glad it's fixed! Your local IP must have changed, or Docker was just being problematic, who knows?

I suggest you make the same change in Radarr just in case.
