Hello! I'm Expulsion6311!

Post by expulsion6311 »

Hey YAMS crew, just introducing myself here. I've been on a journey to free myself and my data from the corporate grasp for the last few months and only recently discovered -- and was hyper impressed with -- YAMS. Not just for its great code, but for how user friendly it is. I'm also a professional UX/writer/content strategy person so I have an attuned sense for great user-facing documentation, and YAMS excels at this. So thanks for that.

On that note, I am considering lending my skillset in user experience / strategy to an open source project -- I can't contribute on a coding level, but it recently dawned on me how important clear documentation, and UX, is for the success of the selfhosted movement. So let me know if you hear of any projects that could use a creative/writerly eye.

Ok, all the best! :D

Thanks! And, no big tips here on YAMS because like I said, it's awesome how you've written it all up. The only thing I noticed is there are no config steps for redarr and lidarr in the basic config walk through. No big deal, but it might be nice to add a note and link to those sections in the advanced section toward the end of the basic config -- just because I noticed they were installed and then wondered why we didn't config. Anyways, I've loved the experience, so great work and thanks for all the effort!
