Buffering while streaming and downloading

Post by doordonot »

A problem I'm running into is alot of videos buffer to the point they are unwatchable when I am using the disk to both download and stream. My thoughts to solve this problem is to mount an addition SSD for qbittorrent to download to and then use the settings in radarr and sonarr to only have it check for completed downloads every 24 hours and to use a program restart to line up that 24 hour clock to 2 am as to not affect streaming performance.

With my limited understanding of linux I plan to just set up this drive to mount in /downloads/ so the file paths in the apps don't change.

Anyone know an easier way to solve this problem or if you see any flaws in my solution?

Hey! This issue is not related to the installation, but I'll answer it anyways.

It's impossible to know what's happening without having more information. Where are you running YAMS? What are your specs? Is it a VM? An LXC?

It looks like you don't have enough RAM or Core processors.
